1. Booking Policy
- Confirmation: Upon booking a tour with Jotnar Mountaineering, you will receive a confirmation email containing the details of your trip. Please review the information carefully and contact us immediately if any details are incorrect.
- Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot on the tour. Payments can be made via our secure online payment system.
- Booking Changes: Any changes to your booking (e.g., changing the date or tour type) must be requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
2. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations Made 24 Hours Before Departure:
- If you cancel your tour with at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled departure time, you are entitled to a full refund of the payment made.
- Cancellations must be made via email or phone, and will be confirmed by our team in writing. The 24-hour notice period is calculated based on the scheduled departure time.
- Cancellations Made Less Than 24 Hours Before Departure:
- If you cancel your tour with less than 24 hours’ notice, no refund will be issued.
- Failure to show up for the tour without prior cancellation will be treated as a late cancellation, and no refund will be provided.
3. Weather and Safety Cancellations
- Operator-Initiated Cancellations: Jotnar Mountaineering reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a tour due to adverse weather conditions, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
- In the event that we must cancel a tour for these reasons, you will be offered the choice of rescheduling to a later date or receiving a full refund.
- We will notify you as soon as possible if a cancellation is necessary. Please ensure that your contact details are up to date when booking.
4. Refund Policy
- Processing Refunds: Refunds will be processed within 7 business days of receiving your cancellation request or operator-initiated cancellation. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during booking.
5. Liability
- Assumption of Risk: By booking a tour with Jotnar Mountaineering, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in outdoor activities, including but not limited to glacier hiking, ice climbing, and mountaineering. Participants are responsible for following the safety instructions provided by our guides.
- Personal Responsibility: Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in suitable physical condition for the chosen activity and for disclosing any relevant medical conditions to our team before the tour begins.
